During this season of Lent, The First United Methodist Church of Buffalo will be hosting a weekly worship service. This service is called a Taize service, referring to the name of a small village in France where this meditative style of worship began. This village now draws pilgrims from all over Europe and the US. It is an ecumenical service of song, prayer and meditation.
We would like to invite the public to attend one or more of the services. Tuesday, February 28th at 7PM we will begin with an introduction to the service and the music. The services will continue on Tuesday, March 6, 13, 20 and 27, 2012. We will conclude the services on Holy Thursday, April 5. The services will be held in the Sanctuary of the church at Adams Ave. and Fort Street.
