Buffalo - Crossroads of the West

The map above shows how centrally located Buffalo is in the American West, both geographically and historically.  Situated in the shadow of the Bighorn Mountains and on the Old Frontier, Buffalo is one of the last great undiscovered places. Come to where the great Cowboy and Indian Wars took place, walk these historic battlefields and learn about the heroism on both sides that shaped the West.

Visit the great cattle ranches that are still working and open to the public.  Hike and camp in the Cloud Peak Wilderness Area, still untouched and unspoiled.  Attend the rodeo and watch the cowboys and cowgirls touch the sky and eat the dirt as the bucking broncos and the raging bulls have their day in the arena.  Come see it all, live it all in Buffalo, Wyoming where the West is everywhere!
