 Rachel McCaughey Assistant Director

I came to Buffalo in early 2008 and fell in love with the area, my (then boyfriend) got an opportunity for work, and we were westward bound! I found that the area was beautiful and peaceful and the people were kind, my type of place. My background was construction and military and I was trying to go a new direction, so I began to explore the possibilities available to me here, did some volunteering and got a (few) jobs -(I am a work-a-holic, but I succeed there, so there I stay!) I am very outgoing and love to be around people, so I became involved with the community and even ran for City Council (No Fear!). Since then, I graduated from college a second time, got married, and got the job as Assistant Director here at the Chamber. I am now a board member for Habitat, I am an instructor for Empower Wyoming, a member of the Wild Bunch, and you can find me now and then, tending bar or waitressing at Up In Smoke. I keep busy, as you can see, as well as being a mother to a teenage son. I love life, I believe in living it to the fullest and I try to, with a smile!
